The Poodle Room, Coral Sands Inn, Palm Springs, California

This is definitely our most distinctive and edgy room, but it's also the one artists appreciate the most. The poodle portrait done by world-renowned Seattle artist Joseph Park dominates the room. The standard poodle is rendered in muted grays with a hard edge. Don't let the little pink bow fool ya....this is a psychologically complex portrait of a seemingly harmless bowser. It's been known to drive people wild. The doggy theme is supported by smaller pieces throughout the room. David Kane, yet another world renowned Seattle artist, is represented by his "The Swimmers," a cool study in blues. And look out for "Go Cart Girl" in the bathroom, she's moving mighty fast. And there's an honest to God red-footed-booby thrown in for good luck. Can you dig it? With all this energy on the loose, I've chosen a sedate portrait of LA socialite, Mrs. Clarke, by Betty Collins, to feng shui the space into a lovely suite that is wonderfully comfortable and cozy. Just keep an eye on that dog!

Step out of the poodle and into the pool. It's a short trip to the fabulous Coral Sands dip.
